Stone, shaped and fitted by hand
Ken added a stonemason class to his NSW contractor licence in 2024. The work ranges from feature walls and fireplaces to cladding on letterboxes and entries.
One client had a plain fireplace refreshed. The old wall came off, then the stone was reset and stacked over about a week, and finished with a hardwood shelf.
Recent stone includes Callington Limestone, Odin Stone cladding and cloudy grey cladding, with crisp grout lines and each piece hand-shaped.

The overall job took a week while they pulled off the old wall, reset it, and stacked the stone perfectly! It’s topped off with a hardwood shelf that looks fab - I just need to workout what to oil/varnish it with.
