A sloping front yard at a new home, turned into terraced garden beds with sandstone walls, wide sandstone steps to the front door, a gravel side path and round stepping stones.

The walls sit on engineered concrete footings and piers, and stormwater pipes were put in for drainage before the stone and plants went in. The photos run from the bare block, through the footings, to the finished garden.

What clients say about Ken and the team

Sloping block, front and back yard

We honestly cannot recommend Coastline Hardscapes highly enough.

When we moved into our new build, we were left with a completely blank canvas, a challenging side-sloping block with no idea where to start. We knew we wanted to create something special, but we didn’t have the vision or knowledge to know how to make the space work. Ken came in, understood exactly what we were trying to achieve, and brought that vision to life. He has transformed our front and backyard into spaces that are not only beautiful but genuinely functional and enjoyable to use.

Rocky, sloping backyard

Ken and his team transformed my rocky, sloping backyard into a beautiful space. From the outset he was always the professional from the planning stage to the final product. I highly recommend Coastline Hardscapes.

Caravan pad, front yard

We needed a new home for the caravan and sought ideas and quotes from many suppliers here on the Central Coast. You really do get what you pay for, hence a huge thanks to Ken and his team at Coastline Hardscapes, you’ve transformed the front yard. You are true craftsmen and the quality and vision of the job was awesome. All the neighbours were impressed too. The van looks right at home now, nice and level and not sinking into the grass that was there before. @coastlinehardscapes

Stone walls, entry wall and feature wall

If you need a reliable, passionate trade person for your stone work, who has an eye for detail than you need look no further than Ken.

Ken is friendly, hard working and with his skill produces a flawless finish. Our stone walls around our pool, curved front entry wall and water feature look fantastic. He also did a stone feature wall above our outdoor kitchen area which brought all our stone features together. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ken for all your stone work. He knows what he is doing.

Stone fireplace wall

I recently had my very bland fireplace refreshed by Coastline Hardscapes & I couldn’t be happier. Brie helped me thru the planning process with stone suggestions, tolerated my flip flopping between grout vs no grout and kept in touch re timeframes. Ken is a pleasure he deal with while the job is getting done & Ryder is a whizz with an eye to detail. The overall job took a week while they pulled off the old wall, reset it, and stacked the stone perfectly! It’s topped off with a hardwood shelf that looks fab - I just need to workout what to oil/varnish it with.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ken for any work you have in mind.

Sandstone paving beside the pool

If you want an OK job at an OK price look elsewhere. If you want a great job look to Coastline Hardscapes. Ken is a master artisan craftsman who takes pride in his trade. Ours was a sandstone paving job adjacent to a swimming pool with very tricky surface and sub-surface drainage issues. Ken sorted it brilliantly and delivered an outstanding result that we could not be more pleased with. If you find you have to wait a little while for him to take on your job, be patient, it’s worth the wait.
